Partnering to grow and develop youth organizations
Camp Coach wants to work with and support your organization.
After 28 years directing/owning summer camps, sports programs and youth education programs, “H” Rothenberg puts his experience to work GROWING YOUR organization. Any business working with children will benefit from working with Camp Coach!
“H” has been at camp every summer since 1975
“H” started his camp experience as a camper, then moved through the ranks of Counselor, Unit Head, Assistant Director, and Director at private and nonprofit camps in the Midwest. He has a degree in Elementary Education and has coached and directed basketball teams/leagues at all grade levels. In 1999 along with wife Libby, they accomplished their dream of owning and operating their own camp in Charlottesville, VA. During their ownership camp revenue increased by over 300% and year round programming (ropes course and outdoor education) was designed and implemented to substantially increase annual revenues.
In 2008, “H” co-founded Virginia Developmental Basketball League (VDBL) in Charlottesville, VA. “H” is the Professional Development Chair for the American Camp Association, Virginia region, where he organizes educational programming for camp professionals and writes for Camping Magazine. In the off season, you might see “H” teeing it up at golf hotspots through the country and visiting CAMPS!
Starting programs from scratch is a true strength of “H”. He has started four different basketball programs in Illinois and Virginia, all of which were profitable in the first year. He also started a nonprofit organization to support the local schools and their desires for Environmental Education. His creative mind is always generating great ideas.
"I’m very grateful for you turning every challenge into a teachable moment." — Mary Anne (Camp Mom)
